Visit Alnwick Caste and take in the magical surroundings!

Alnwick Castle featured as the magnificent Brancaster Castle in Downton Abbey’s 2014 Christmas special. Having already featured in the first two Harry Potter films, as well as appearing in Elizabeth and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, among others, the castle is no stranger to film crews! Most famously in recent years, Alnwick Castle featured as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the first two Harry Potter films. Scenes filmed at the castle include Harry’s first Quidditch lesson and the crash-landing of the flying Ford Anglia.
